Segregation in our Playgrounds

Today Rosie, Ryan and I were actually kicked out of a playground because we are "cultually different" than the children who live in the housing complex that playgroung is situated in. I'm dead serious. Not that it was a prilvate playground for the residents of said housing complex (most of whom, but not all, are African Canadian) but because we are "cultually different". That is honestly what the Paladin security officer told me. I am so livid right now. I phoned and left a (nasty) complaint on Paladin security's answering machine and sent a letter to Global News Calgry telling them of my experience. Since when is it socially acceptable to segregate kids (or anyone else for that matter)? And really, you cannot tell a ctying 3 year old who just wants to have fun with other kids that we have to leave because we are "cultually different". Wow, just another reason to get the hell out of Calgary and move back to the Okanagan.

Wow! Unbelievable! I can't believe that they have security guards at a playground for that purpose... I am stunned! What a way to teach children to have the same narrow mindedness as one's self! What is this world coming to!
